If so\, why? Chris suggests we should “approach the apostle Paul as a stranger.” What are the strengths and weaknesses of such an approach?  Chris argues that Paul inhabits three worlds: the Jewish\, Greco-Roman and Christian. In what ways might understanding this help us to read his letters? \nDr Chris Tilling – is Graduate Tutor and Senior Lecturer in New Testament Studies at St Mellitus College. Chris’s first book\, the critically acclaimed Paul’s Divine Christology is now republished with multiple endorsements and a new Foreword\, by Eerdmans (Grand Rapids\, Mich.: Eerdmans\, 2015). Chris has published numerous articles on topics relating to the Apostle Paul\, Christology\, justification\, the historical Jesus\, Paul S. Fiddes\, Karl Barth\, the theology of Hans Küng\, and more besides. He co-hosts the popular Podcast\, OnScript.
