Re-reading the Gospel of John : Invitation to a 6-Month Journey in a Group with a Guidebook
The Gospel of John is profound, intriguing, fascinating, and mysterious.
One of the most insightful and gripping attempts to do it justice is Prof David Ford’s The Gospel of John – A Theological Commentary published two years ago.
Unlike most commentaries, this can be read as literature. The style is conversational: it works not verse by verse, but chapter by chapter. You can read a review of Prof Ford’s book in Church Times.
Over six months we will read a chapter per week of David Ford’s commentary and meet on-line once a week to discuss it with fellow learners for an hour.
