The Rt Rev Dr Helen-Ann Hartley is the Bishop of Ripon. She will be speaking on “To read, mark, learn and inwardly digest: some reflections on a diet of Biblical Interpretation.”

The Bible is the foundation of our faith, and we probably have our favourite bits, but what about the parts we don’t understand, or don’t agree with? If it’s all the Word of God how do we navigate its terrain? In this lecture, Bishop Helen-Ann will share some of her own reflections on a number of years pondering these questions and help us to reflect positively on how we can live faithfully with Scripture in our present context.

Bishop Helen-Ann is an able communicator and her lecture will be very accessible as well as challenging us to consider how we use scripture.
