Good religion, good politics?

We are delighted to invite Dr Andrew Carruthers to deliver February’s seminar about the ethical interface between religion and politics.

Biography

Andrew is currently studying for a PhD in Theology at St John’s College, Durham, focusing on the social theology of Rowan Williams and its relationship to political liberalism. As well as an MA in Theology from Durham, Andrew also holds degrees in History from the University of St Andrews and Queen’s University Belfast. He previously worked as an affordable housing campaigner and retains an interest in the politics and theology of housing. Originally from Northern Ireland, he now lives in rural North Yorkshire, where he serves as churchwarden of the local parish church.
