Despair, faith and hope in an age of environmental destruction
Dr Tim Gordon is a marine biologist whose work has taken him from the Arctic Ocean to the Great Barrier Reef. His research focuses on human threats to the world’s most beautiful and vulnerable ecosystems. Tim was recently named the Society of Experimental Biology’s ‘Young Scientist of the Year’, and he regularly speaks and writes about how his faith motivates his research. Join us as together we explore how Christianity can link us to the natural world, guide our responses to environmental destruction, and provide hope for the future of the planet.
If you’d like a brief taste of Tim’s enthusiasm and passion, check out his entry for the FameLab International Final 2019, which he won, beating 24 other science communicators from across the world at the Cheltenham Science Festival in June, 2019.
